Hi, I am Jessica Ruiz.

But most people call me Jess! I was born and raised in Orange County, California. I graduated with my master's in Multimedia, Photography, and Design from Syracuse University in Upstate New York in May of 2021.

I have many joys in life; one is exploring nature and traveling as much as possible, whether it's a weekend trip to a national park or traveling cross country for an adventure.

Fun Fact: I have visited 30+ states, lived in 3 different ones, plus a small town in Spain in the summer of 2018. I have explored over 14 state and national parks.

I've been teaching Introduction to Photography at Fullerton College since 2022. It's pretty cool to think that I actually found my love for photography right here in 2013. Despite being the professor, I find that I learn a great deal from my students every semester.

My past experiences have made me realize that I love connecting with new people. I've always been a sucker for a good love story (I attribute that to my parents).

"Wow, that was easy. You made us feel comfortable!" Is the biggest compliment you can give me as a photographer. I credit my ability to make clients comfortable to my education in Journalism, where you have to connect with people in a matter of minutes to tell the true story.

My past experiences help me build fun and relaxed environment every day, especially during photo shoots, resulting in beautiful images.

I can't wait to hear from you and capture the memories we create together with your loved ones!
